Aussie Aussie Aussi, Oi Oi Oi!!! Big shout out for all my Aussies out there for Australia Day!! I have a special love for Australia. Ever since I was a kid I wanted to "go visit the kangaroos" and then finally when I was older I made my wish come true and packed up a suitcase and a backpack and headed down under! It was one of the most amazing times of my life, it was the first time I left the country by myself and lived in one. I met many great friends, had many great experiences and worked in some pretty crazy places! I loved backpacking all over the country but eventually settled in Sydney for most of my time and a little while in Melbourne. Australia is such a beautiful country with so much to see and do. It's been a long while since I've been there(as you can see by the hair styles) so I think a new trip is definitely in the future! HAPPY AUSTRALIA DAY!!

Madonna has of course confirmed her next album title.....M.D.N.A Love the album name! You cant help but think Madonna when you see the initials but also Madonna DNA which is a great concept behind an album. I Found this great album cover concept to go for it. After many years waiting, rumours, leaks etc Madonna's new album is just a short time away!! I always get so excited and giddy when a new Madonna album closes in!! It's nothing like it used to be though when I remember her first starting out...yes I can remember that.....

There was no internets or leaks so a person just had to wait and occasionally to get a little tidbit of info from an entertainment show or tabloid magazine. The unknowing was so excruciating but fun too!! I'd record little bits of show on our VHS machine so I could watch over and over, and before we even had that I'd record with a tape recorder so I could at least listen to the 10 second sound clip that would be played as the show would talk about Madonna's new single!! And there was no way you could get your hands on a copy of anything from the album untill the very day it came out! So whenever a new Madonna album is gearing up for release it always brings me memories from waaaaaay back in the 80's and to every following album.

Each album is like a time capsule for me that I remember moments of my life from. One of the funnier memories is when Erotica was released. I just moved to Calgary to live with my sister and she was pregnant, my nephew was born shortly after the Erotica album came out and I had a video camera too at the time. So a lot of the videos I recorded of my nephew from when he was first born have Madonna's brilliant Erotica album playing in the background lol, it's quite funny and a bit strange to see this cute baby doin baby stuff and then Madonna singing "give it up do as I say" etc etc

With only weeks away for her big Super Bowl show it will be the start of a great fun year of Madonna once again, with an album, remixes, videos and a tour to keep me giddy for a while once again!!

Well winter has finally decided to make a return to us here. This Thursday Madonna is of course on ABC's nightline with Cynthia McFadden interviewing her again. I'm curious to watch because some of the questions being asked were sent in from fans from all over the world. Hopefully they aren't from idiotic brain dead people and there are some great questions. I'm especially interested in what she has to say about Lady Ga Ga. A part of me wishes she would call her out and just tell it like it is but Madonna wouldn't do that on Prime Time TV....at least not now...

Winter will soon be here, so far it's been an amazing end of Autumn! Barely and snow, the temps have been above zero various times! I can't really complain....yet. I still need to buy a winter jacket and proper footwear, meh, I live in a stage of winter denial. But I have been letting the winter beard grow in nicely! I hate shaving, it's annoying, irritating and does havoc to my skin so I'm always scruffy faced or let it just go for a few weeks till I get in that irritating facial hair stage and just have to shave it all off!!

On the weekend I made a cake for a boy's 16th birthday! This was probably one of the most fun cakes to make!! The kid is into skateboarding so obviously the first thing that came to mind to make him is a skateboard cake!! I used a few skateboard brand logos for the design and added some gnarly colours to it! It's a chocolate fudge cake with a chocolate butter cream in between! mmmmmmmmmmmmm! I could totally get tubular on this cake....I don't even know what I meant by that...Anyways, I made the skateboard wheels out of rice krispie treats, some plastic tubing fused together with royal icing and fondant! I was going to make the cake upright but I thought having the wheels facing up would be more bitchin visual than to have them mostly hidden under the skateboard!

November 25 is always a happy day, it's the day I met my love, and best friend Marcel! If he were alive still today it would be 14 years we would have been together!! Wow that's a long chunk of time and then you have to add in the "GaY Year" factor, 14 years is like....almost 25 years in gay years! I often lay in my bed and wonder what life would be like now for the two of us if Cancer hadn't ripped his life away. He's been gone for 4 years now, I'm no longer saddened by his void, but I miss him all the time. I don't think a day goes by that something reminds me of Marcel or a memory flashes by, even if it's just for a second. It always brings a smile to my face.

It's all about meeeeeeee today...well every day is but today is extra ME-ness!! It's yet another birthday...seems like I just had one last year???

It was a nice day, had a delicious fun fondue meal at my mom's place with my family and my sister made me an amazing and delicious chocolate oreo cheesecake, I got some great presents too. Overall it was a great day other than the fact that I'm another year older, but so far it doesn't suck being...27!!!

My sister made me an freakin sweet cheese cake!!

My nephew got me this really cool Zombie Marilyn poster! This will look great in my living room!!

An aaaaawesome new cake pan! Just think of the possibilities with this!! YUM!!

A whole bunch of great cake supplies to help out with my creations, I also got a sweet iPad stand!!

For myself, I bought this freakin awesome bluetooth portable speaker for my iPhone, it sounds sooooo great and the bass is just killer!! I also ordered myself a caking airbrush online, but that one be here for a few days so I can't show. Overall it was a pretty awesome birthday!! Yay for me!!

The whole world knows now that Madonna's new single from her yet to be finished album was leaked onto the internets this week. I personally haven't listened to it or read much about it. I just know of the title and possible guest singers that may sing on the single. It's getting great buzz though apparently. I'll wait until it's officially released and a final product.
It's too bad in this day and age things like this happen all the time now. Artists put so much work into creating something special for people to hopefully enjoy but with the click of a button it's taken from their grasp and unleashed to the masses so easily. I also wonder how it can happen, there must be only so many people that have access to the music when it's in a creative process, and with cyber trails left so easily why is it that music always leaks? It's driving me crazy not hearing the song, but I can wait. I use to do it all the time back in the day when people had patience and had to actually leave the house on the day an album was released to go buy it not having a clue what any of it sounded like!! LOL I just made myself sound old....

On a better note, check out the great shots of Madonna for the new HB interview/Cover shoot. Madonna looks fab! Can't wait for the album promo buzz to start!!

Hmmmm interesting....there is a new product from GRiNDS marketed as an "alternative" to chewing tobacco and also for an energy boost on the go. Apparently you stick the pouch in your mouth and hold in in your cheek or under your tongue and your mouth becomes an built in brewer! hmmmm the thought of brewing a coffee with my spit is kinda nasty but we swallow spit 24/7 so why not add a little brew to that saliva lol! These would be cool to just carry with you if you really want a kick and there just isn't a decent cafe near!!!

Well....it was bound to happen....

Anyone that knows me knows I'm not a fan of winter, it's not that I hate it, I just do not enjoy the cold, I despise the cold. If there could be winter with +27 I'd LOVE winter!! It would be awesome!! It's so pretty with the white stuff all over, it gives life to the once decayed remains of Autumn. I've got my nuts all stored for hibernation, bought myself a new electric blanket to snuggle under while I play Xbox or watch a movie, I need to get new winter boots though, and a new jacket. I still have my "teddybear jacket" that I love, it's super cozy, but it's a bit old now and kinda hideous lol...

It was my sister's birthday the other day so I wanted to make her a special cake! She loves sushi...who doesn't??!!! So the obvious choice was a Sushi cake!!

I first made all the sushi pieces out of fondant, I didn't bother colouring the fondant, I just made all the pieces out of white and then hand painted the sushi morsels!! Then I made some fondant rice and noodles, wrapped them on top with a fondant seaweed wrap and presto! Fondant Sushi!!

The cake was delicious!! I made a vanilla butter cake from a recipe that I created, added some fresh strawberries and cream cheese butter cream in between the layers and then covered the cake in white fondant! To get the "wood" look, I painted the fondant with a brush and colour gels to get the grain look. I think it turned out pretty fucking awesome!! And it tasted just as great as it looked!! it was fantabulous!!

It's been a couple of busy days, I had 2 cakes to make due for the same day so it was all about time management and organization, 2 things I suck ass at. Plus it was Halloween yesterday so I had to do the whole Halloween thing too! But I'm a supahstaaaaaaah and finished both cakes!

Here is one I made for a girl, she apparently loves penguins so that's what her husband ordered for her! It turned out really cute! I loves it!! It's a shame later today he will be sliced and butchered into little penguin bits!! mmmmmmmmm but tasty ones! I made him from a extra chocolate chocolate cake recipe that I created! It's super moist and chocolatey!! nom nom nom! His filling in between the layers is a chocolate mocha butter cream! helloooooo!!

AAAAW! How could someone slice open this cute little guy! oh...thats right, there's yummy cake inside him!

Got up early this morning, well it wasn't early, it was around 10 lol but I never went to bed till around 6:30AM so it felt early. I got a new electric throw so I woke up like I was fully baked for breakfast! All toasty and snuggled in, it was hard to wake up! It took a few tries but eventually I forced myself up, plus I had some great photos being sent to me on WhatsAPP on my iPhone that kept pinging their arrival (thanks for the wake up call Daan! it was just what I needed! and aaaaawesome pics!!!) email me if you want to join my WhatsAPP and share your life with me in pictures, video and chats, it's pretty sweet.

So I forced myself outta bed, made my usual jug of javajuice to casually sip as I shuffle around, got to my kitchen and remembered the big mess I left from last night from caking! UGH....so I took a few big chugs and started the clean up. I totally need a hot house boy to come in and tidy things up after I'm done making my messes, any takers??
Got the mess cleaned up and dove right into cake! I'm working on a penguin cake today! I baked all the cakes and made butter cream last night. I cut the shape out that I thought would be good and started icing that puppy....or should I say penguin. So far it's looking brilliant! I will show a pic of the progress. Now it's time to make a shit load of fondant, after I'm done this penguin I have to start making a sushi platter cake!! So I need lots'o fondant! mmmmm it smells like aaaaaawesome in my house, chocolate cake, buttercream, now fondant!!! I'm gunna get fat just breathing in here!!!

So tell me internets, does it kinda look penguinish?

The cake I'm making is for a penguin birthday cake! Yes a penguin. The woman apparently loves penguins so I give them what they want!! Also I'm excited because I have the opportunity to wear my new apron that I bought in Disney World! Some people have black aprons, some have pictures of "nude" bodies or retro prints...I have Mickey Mouse pants!!! I'm comfortable enough with my masculinity to wear this and show it off lol, plus I'm a little odd...

Before my holiday I got a special delivery from my mates Daan and Peter from Dutchtopia! The Dutch are always so hip and stylish and to my delight I got new undies fresh from the Zeeman store Bas Collection!!

oi....it's been a while since I've sat at this Mac and did some bloggin!! Just haven't been in the mood, I've gotten lazy since being on holiday! I was in Florida for a week last week for a great family holiday! It wasn't as bad as I thought it would be! My family didn't drive me as insane as I thought would happen!! The weather was uh-maaaaaazing! The parks were a blast and the pool was just right to sit and relax by late at night!!

Overall a great holiday! I don't think I would do it again though, just waaaaaaaaay too many people squeezed into one place, it's just unbelievable the amount of tourists from all over the world that are at all these resorts and all conglomerate into these Disney Parks each day! That was one of the worst aspects of going to these parks. You can't enjoy it to the fullest because it's just so noisy with tourists, the line ups are just crazy to go on rides, but the amazing thing is that even with all those people in there, you could probably eat off the ground cause it was just spotless everywhere!!

I took a gazillion pictures but I don't think you really want to see each and every one, so here are just a few for you to see...

everything had Disney on it, even the soap in the shower!!! lol!

Not as many cute guys as I thought there would be, but lots of fat tourists...lots, it's amazing how obese the world is getting, kids too!! I didn't really buy anything because everything that was for sale had Disney plastered all over it!! I did get my ears though!! It was exhausting though waking up every day and going to these parks for the whole day! I need a vacation after my vacation! Next vacation I'm goin to Greece and just chillin on the beach with some hot hairy Greek men to fan me and feed me olives...

I haven't gone on a holiday for years since New York. Today is finally the beginning of a week long break!! An interesting one it shall be. My sister came up with this crazy idea that we should all take an old fashioned family vacation all together, EVERYONE. So my mom, my sister, her fiance, my nephew, my niece and me are all goin to Disney World for a week long stay. I know it will be heaps of fun cause I'm still a kid trapped in the body of a hot, creative middle aged man, but the thought of bunking in an apartment suite with all my family for a solid week frightens me! I love my space and I usually take in my family with small doses, not a solid week straight!! So it should be an interesting fun filled week! I'll just have to get the "family edition" pack of Zoloft, it comes in 50's right?

So anyways, I'm gone for a week!!! Gunna party with Mickey and find me a Prince Charming to bang! We are going to have wifi in our apartment so maybe I'll email a pic or two to the JJ blog! See ya in a week!! su-weeeeeeeeeet!
