Check it out, this haunting piano melody is actually the tree's rings. All that time lived through the tree is transformed into music. It's really nice to listen to and amazing what people create using technology. I'm not gunna explain the whole process of how it's done, you can go check that out yourself on the Vimeo page. Sounds like the sound score for some artsy horror movie at the beginning credits that has the camera slowly lead up to where all the scary stuff happens or originated!!!
